The WOW Board of Management has overall responsibility for the strategic direction, business and project planning and implementation. The Board comprises of representatives from public, private and voluntary sectors with an outstanding portfolio of expertise and management experience.
The Board includes previous WOW trainees who offer unique and insightful perspectives in terms of the needs of the women and development of services to meet them.

Alison
Evans
Alison Evans, WOW's chair for the past two years sadly died this September.
She was loved and respected by all.
Her dedication, warmth, sharp wit and invaluable contribution to the work of WOW will be a great loss.
Alison was a retired teacher with almost 40 years of experience who had also developed and led specific programmes for students with additional needs within further education in Scotland.
Alison supported a wide range of humanitarian, social justice and equality campaigns and convened WOW’s Strategy Sub-group.

Janet
Powney
Dr Janet Powney, Vice Chair, is a consultant in educational research and evaluation, and until 2002 was a senior researcher and project manager at the Scottish Council for Research in Education.
She has a long standing interest and research record in education and human rights . She convenes the Staffing Sub and is a member of the Evaluation group.

Ingrid Seilman
WOW Secretary Ingrid Seilman is a former WOW trainee. A long standing member of the Board she now works for Citizens Advocay Project and is a member of the Finance sub group

Pamela McLauchlan
Pamela McLaughlan, Treasurer, is Head of Finance with NHS and has many years of experience in finance and accounting within the NHS. Pamela convenes the Finance and Funding Sub Group.
